Sr. Analyst - Shared Services, Projects

The company is looking to recruit and hire the best future leaders in Finance as ArcelorMittal continues to grow. There is an immediate opportunity for a Senior Analyst ? Projects position in the Shared Services Organization located at our Burns Harbor facility.

We are looking for an individual who is committed to contribute to goal achievement in a positive and proactive working environment. The Senior Analyst - Projects will report to the Manager ? Shared Services Projects and be responsible for supporting projects across the Shared Services function. The position will have primary focus in the areas of project management, systems implementations and process improvement as it related to the Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable or Payroll functional areas as needed by the business. The individual's responsibilities would include but not be limited to the following:
Essential Functions:
Immediate assignment: Lead and/or support systems implementations relating to gross-to-net payroll and time & attendance
Identify and implement process changes to support continuous process improvement
Effectively manage diverse groups of staff to manage project plans, testing, training and implementation
Develop and maintain documents related to projects and payroll to ensure compliance to internal controls and Sox
Support audit requests as needed
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Provide problem resolution support for the shared services teams
Work with third party vendors and IT on integration projects
Document processes and identify areas of improvement and cost savings
Consistent utilization of project management tools and techniques
Other duties and responsibilities as may be required
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field
At least five (5) years of experience, preferably in manufacturing industry
Sound fundamental knowledge of payroll, accounts receivable, and/or accounts payable processes
Solid understanding of general accounting principles
Prior experience implementing system changes
Full understanding of Microsoft office suites
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to effectively handle multiple projects
Demonstrates excellent time management and organization skills
Preferred Requirements:
Master's degree in accounting, finance, business, etc.
PMP certification or lean/six sigma experience
5+ years of progressive payroll/accounting/finance experience in an integrated steel facility or related industry
Strong analytical skills, demonstrated leadership abilities, good communication skills, and general business aptitude
Experience utilizing the following systems/applications: Ceridian Source, Ceridian Dayforce, Times, Work brain, OnBase, Axiom, SAP, mainframe systems, Office 365, SharePoint

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
