Employment Specialist

The Employment Specialist for Lake and Porter Counties will enhance the expanding JobSource Team's effectiveness by providing job research, development, and placement services to individuals in the community.
The hours are Monday - Friday 8:
00 am - 4:
30 pm.
Some days may vary based on client needs.
Responsibilities1.
Provide client specific assistance that can include, but is not limited to, arranging and assisting with interviews, preparing resumes and applications, vocational exploration, profiling, job site assessments, job shadows, trail work experiences, and job coaching;2.
Identify accommodations at work sites to enable the individuals to perform tasks as efficiently as possible;3.
Develop and maintain productive relationships with local employers, referral sources, clients, parents, co-workers and others as appropriate;4.
Maintain and complete all required and necessary documentation within required time frames;5.
Become familiar with client specific information by attending conferences and reading files prior to onset of job development;6.
Maintain communication with client, employer, parents, funding sources and co-workers;7.
Maintain business related information in business contact files;8.
Monitor and document client progress including, necessary prompts, redirection, and successes;9.
Maintain the required productivity level as follows:
Maintain 85% Productivity per month.
Should 85% productivity not be met for two consecutive months, pay rate will decrease by $2/hour.
Employment Specialist will be given one (1) month to increase productivity to expected level.
If the productivity level increases to 85% prior to 8 weeks rate will increase again by $2/hour.
Productivity is calculated once per month Should an Employment Specialist fall below the 85% productivity rate 4 times within a rolling 12 months, or be at 70% or less productivity, termination will occur or said staff may apply for another position within the company Paid Time Off used or FMLA will not count toward productivity 10.
Attend and participate in department, division, and agency meetings required;11.
Maintain awareness of local, state and national trends that impact employment services;12.
Maintain necessary documentation, data and reports as required by CARF (Commission of Accreditation Rehabilitation Facilities) standards, funding sources and agency;13.
Each individual served is required to receive a minimum of one contact from the Employment Specialist per week.
Qualifications Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
Flexibility to ever changing schedules and shifts Strong ability to problem solve High School Diploma 1-3 year's experience in related field preferred Experience with developmentally disabled population preferred Benefits to all Employees:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
