Highly motivated individual is needed to work within the talented team of engineers at Cleveland Cliffs Burns Harbor Works. This automated surface inspection system engineer is part of the Quality Assurance department and will be responsible for providing technical solutions to internal customers and improving the performance of the ASIS systems throughout the Burns Harbor facility. Job Requirements:
Coordinate oversite and assessment of the various Automated Surface Inspection Systems (ASIS) and associated software. Develop new and tune existing defect classifiers. Monitor and report on health of detection systems and provide guidance to local operations teams responsible for the hardware, camera and lighting maintenance. Build and maintain tools for user interfaces, notifications, and defect flagging. Manage and support improvement projects with Operations, Quality, Technology and Process Automation. Manage projects involving equipment and software installations or upgrades. Lead or participate in benchmarking, training, and development across installations. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's in Engineering, IT, Process Automation, or related field Experience in use of Automated Surface Inspection Systems in materials manufacturing Experience with database usage, SQL server and coding. Demonstrated success in defining and resolving problems. Ability to excel in a dynamic work environment. Preferred Requirements:
